Market bags

A Mexican market bag, also known as a "Mexican market tote" or "Mexican mesh bag," is a type of reusable shopping bag that is commonly used in Mexico and has become popular around the world. The bags are typically made from a durable mesh fabric that allows for airflow and flexibility, making them perfect for carrying groceries, beach gear, or other everyday items.

Mexican market bags come in a variety of sizes and colors, with many featuring vibrant patterns or designs that are representative of traditional Mexican textiles.

We are working on colors and details to propose them as a stylish alternative to plastic bags or as a beach or poolside accessory.

In Mexico, market bags are commonly used to carry fresh produce from local markets, and are often seen as a symbol of sustainability and community.

about our products

The material we use

Our product are made in Toquilla. Toquilla is a type of palm plant that is native to the coastal regions of Ecuador. The leaves of the toquilla palm are used to make the famous Panama hat, which is known for its lightness, flexibility, and durability.

Where we produce

The toquilla palm has been cultivated in Ecuador for centuries, and its leaves have traditionally been used to make a variety of other woven goods as well, including baskets, mats, and bags.

A cultural symbol

In addition to its practical uses, the toquilla palm is also considered an important cultural symbol in Ecuador, and its leaves are featured in many works of art and handicrafts produced by local artisans.
